Well, alas, another “MEH” weigh-in day. I lost a whopping 0.6lb! All I have to say is I am glad I didn’t gain anything. Especially considering the chocolate chip walnut cookie and small sliver of chocolate cake I ate on Friday. What can I say, I couldn’t resist. It had been entirely too long. BUT I did get to that point where my body was like, “WTF is this, Kayla?!” and I could barely touch that sugary sweet icing. It was too much!
I also decided today was “add up all the weight we’ve lost” day since we passed our halfway mark I assumed today was as good a day as any. I’ve only lost 5.6 pounds, which is good, but not where I wanted to be. Hubby has lost 15 pounds (men….) but we are still not as close to our goal as we want to be. Hubby is about halfway there, I am about 1/3 of the way there, because I still have about 16 more pounds to lose but I would be okay with just losing about 11 more haha. Either way, we will get there eventually, whether it be by our deadline or after!
All in all I’ve been doing pretty good with working out since Thursday, doing as many crunches, squats, push ups, curls, etc as I can all at once and then doing that multiple times a day. Today hubby convinced me to start jogging. A huge feat for me considering I’ve never run in my life and when I did I always managed to find an excuse to sit out. I just hate it. I hate that people see you running and you think in your head they are saying, “Heh, heh. You look funnehhh” but you know what? Who cares? They probably are. But at least I am running and getting healthy while you sit there munching on Funyuns and sippin your diet coke π But anyways, back to the running. We jog/walked about a mile total, alternating between the two. I am pretty proud of myself. My shoulder started hurting really badly halfway through so the last half was a nightmare, but I pushed through and now my legs are extremely itchy. Thank you, infrequently used capillaries, for making yourself known!
So, today was a great day! Tonight’s dinner menu consist of this delight, Avocado Cheddar & Sun-Dried Tomato Quesadilla which I also referenced in one of my previous posts. I am pretty stoked about this meal because I am a huge fan of cheddar cheese, avocados and sun-dried tomatoes. All of them together just HAS to be heavenly. I will update later tonight with a picture of it in all of its delicious glory.
Aaaand, here is the picture π I forgot at first so there are some bite marks π
It was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it!
That’s it for now, we only have 4 more weigh-in’s to go until our self proclaimed deadline, so hopefully we will make it at least somewhat close by then!
Until next time,
